Version 9.0 is coming soon and will be released in stages. The first release will be the new mandatory 5010 format for electronic claims submission. Effective January 1, 2012, the X12 Version 5010 is required for all claims submitted electronically. Version 5010 is the new version of the X12 standards for Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) transactions. Implementation of HIPAA Version 5010 will require changes to your Physicians’ Office Computer software.
Professional Systems Corporation is currently in the testing phase of 5010 and on our way to meeting the January 1, 2012 deadline. We are working diligently to ensure a smooth transition for all. Please provide us with your submitter number, once we furnish this information to Medicare you may go straight to production with out having to test the 5010 format.
Version 9.0 is covered under software maintenance and the software lease agreement; clients under a POC contract will receive Version 9.0 automatically. Clients who are not under a contract will have the opportunity to purchase the new release for $2,495.00. |
